It's Magic

Another post on this, yes, I know, BUT . . . it's magic. What a great product. How good does this look!!
This is the back B4 washing - still with the lines . . .
threw it in the washing machine, and this is the back after with NO lines!!!
I repeat . . . "It's Magic" and you can get some from here.
Oh, and I finished sewing in all the threads on this and I LOVE it!

Quilting

I couldn't wait a moment longer . . .
Bobbin Filled
and away I go . . .
Thank goodness the lines wash off at the end, as I was swirling all over the place.

I will wash it tomorrow and show you the back - but I'm pleased so far. What do you think?

New Product

I was excited to (eventually) be told by a dear friend of mine that Emma had a new and exciting product in her shop.  It's quilt backing like dot to dot.  Just follow the lines and when you wash, all sign of lines disappear. I just HAD to have some.
Keep watching while I test it out.

Tip Toeing through the Tulip!

A beautiful day yesterday and I had no doubt about what I was going to do.  I headed out to my garden post haste and spent the day there.
One beautiful tulip was shining brightly and I couldn't help but reach for my camera.
I stripped all the beds and filled the line with washing which all dried . . .
. . . and by 6pm the clouds had come over and the rain had begun to fall.  It was a pick of the holiday garden days so far.  All my hard work got a lovely soaking, and today, overcast and drizzle, it will be off to the sewing room.  I feel very fortunate to have 2 such wonderful hobbies.

Concert Week

It's been a busy week here with Concert.  I've been lucky enough to witness Ric Rac's BRILLIANCE with the amazing array of costumes!  It is all over now for another 2 years and we can pack up the costumes and get ready for 2 weeks school holidays.
I've been sneaking in a little bit of quilting, trying out 2 Little Banshee's pattern which I love.
. . . and a trip to the in-laws last weekend called for a portable craft, so it was back to my crotchet

. . . I think "we're all going on a . . . Summer Holiday!"

Mr Flowergarden has done a swap of an old boat trailer, for an old caravan.
A school quilt in the making
all the scraps turned into this
and some garden pics.  It was well and truely a warm sunny (and windy) day today

Bliss

Re-arranging my sewing room
. . . a new project with scraps
. . . a table runner for my neighbour from curtain samples
and my wonky house block for the Around the Block swap (see my link on the side bar)
A boy home sick for a couple of days makes for some good sewing time.  All well again now, so it's back to the day job!

More than just a haircut

This is Heather
Yesterday I took Master Flowergarden for a haircut, and came home with 4 new chickens.

Aren't they beautiful!

My other 3 chickens didn't think so, and there was lots of squawking and eyeing off and some peck peck pecking

. . . and for some sewing, I've had this project waiting for some action for some time now.  I just loved the japanese fabric when I saw it and HAD to have some.

It was so nice as it was, I have simply made it into a table runner, adding a small boarder and some binding.
Of course Nelly insists on sitting right on top of what ever I am doing!
(I think she's beautiful too!)
